Allow us to use our personal books on the mobile app

Yes, please let us access our personal books on mobile devices. This is not that difficult to accomplish. There are other software that already have this. It is hard to believe Logos doesn’t have this.0
-
This would be a useful feature0
-
We need this feature more than dark mode.0
-
YES! Long overdue0
-
Please do this…soon 😬👍🏻0

Please, please, please! Absolutely!0

Please allow us to access our personal books on the Mobile App. This would allow us to read, search, access and refer to our PBs from within that platform. I would think this is a relatively simple upgrade, which would allow users to upload a file which is accessible by the user on the Mobile App.
There is already a huge list of PBs that Logos makes available to users here: https://wiki.logos.com/User_Contributed_Personal_Books, so the files are already taking up storage on the Logos servers. So, in essence, there is no impact to Logos, other than making the actual file available to a user on the Mobile App.
I remember a long while ago when first working with PBs, that the Logos wiki/forum/help for PBs provided instructions for uploading for use in the Mobile App (which never functioned), but now there is a disclaimer, “With Logos 6 and higher, PBs may be synced across multiple desktop installations, but Faithlife has no plans to support PBs on mobile apps.”
Yes. We hear the disclaimer, but we are submitting our plea that you make this change. When I am doing in depth study and research and working on papers and teaching, I use the desktop app, because I have easier access to other tools outside of Logos. But I most often do my reading and reflection and casual research on the Mobile App. I would much prefer to have access to some of my PBs in the Mobile App and not just exclusively on the Desktop App.
Thank you for your consideration on this request. I know I am not the only user with this request.1 -
With support for .epub files please!0

Yes Please make it Possible. Thank You!0

I am so shocked that personal books are not available on mobile. This seems like a no brainer, yet I cannot access my files. Yes! Please add the readability of our personal books to Logos mobile!0
-
If Windows and Mac users can have them then why not us users with Android and iOS. Software should work similarly across all platforms. Adding a feature to use an .epub would also be welcome. .docx is not very popular anymore with mobile users. But don't drop .docx completely0
-
One of the craziest missing pieces to Logos's software haha. Ditto to the 588 of y'all!! Imagine the world of e-readers and other personal devices that Logos could become a personalized Bible study tool for! PLEASE DO THIS SOON!0
-
Yes please, and also on the web app. Some of the previous solutions suggested from Logos, for material that is not available to buy on Logos, is to create a personal book. That would be a lot of work but doable if we had access to them across devices. I do not always have my desktop with me.0
-
The ability to read our personal books on the go (along with general improvements to the e-reader app such as horizontal page turning for usability on e-ink devices).
This basic update would be so much more valuable than any AI feature is on its own. Is Faithlife for profit or for Jesus? Can't be both.1 -
Absolutely agree. I would love to see my personal books be accessible on my iPad0
-
is there the ability to delete personal books. I remember uploading a book and it didn’t format right.0
-
I still dream that someday this may be possible. It has been a long wait.1
-
It would be incredible to have access to our personal books, especially Bibles, in the mobile app—this would be particularly valuable for us in the Nordics.
Please make this happen!0 -
no customer delight when defects are touted as acceptable and it impedes my time.0

Yes,please0

I don't think Logos reads these comments. I think that put up this website to make us believe they care. Why else would the most requested feature go nowhere. At the very least Logos could address the feedback and why they are not going to implement a feature. I am aware that I'm turning into a Logos troll. But please, Logos, respond. Say something.0

Yes, I pray this function be considered! Then I could use my own "PB commentary"…. Oh yeah!! Please!

Not really. Unless you open info panel, copy PB file name, close logos, delete the file name and rebuild personal book index. If you uploaded it onto Logos servers, then no. All you can do is hide the book.
Or, rebuild again with a properly formated file.

I would like to do the same. This is the ideal use cae for personal books. I realize that permitting syncing of personal books creates a whole host of issues, but there has to be some way to solve these problems. I'd like to have content that I create be accessible as personal books. This is a worthwhile feature to add.

I would hope that any file we create in Logos would be available on Mobile, including "Workflow files"!

I actually thought that it is a standard function and was really surprised not to find it! And then even more surprised when found out how long Logos users have been begging the company to allow that to use them! Wow!

I would like to import my own books purchased elsewhere from other providers.

Yes, currently this is a turmoil for self converting the books. I wish they would make a Personal book converter! At least for PDF files!

MSWord automatically converts PDF files to .docx files. As is common, I am unimpressed with PDF conversions attempt to preserve format.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The problem is not just in making PDF a DOCX file, but specific formatting requirements of Logos to make the docx file to be a correctly formatted Personal book. In addition tools for identifying Bible references would be super helpful as well, especially in this age of AI…

I did a short look, but didn't find it, but there have been some Logosians that have written some macros for MS Word VBA to write out a "Logos compatible formatted" docx file that could be compiled into Logos. Maybe someone knows where the link is to these files????

It is ridiculous that we are not able to do this. It's bad enough that we are limited to 100 book download at a time. What is the point of adding a personal, searchable book if we can use it on mobile?

I found this for VBA Macros, thank you for the hint.

Yes, it is. Well, you can pray for the developers :)

How about tackling this request in steps? For me personally it would be real helpful to use the customary lectionary in my denomination on mobile devices (that I’ve made using a personal book). I don’t need search or whatever for that, just read the format from the book, just like you do with lectionaries from the store.
These lectionaries are vital to my scripture-readings. Daily I open my app to study the given passages. Very annoying that I can’t go to the planned passages in one go, on mobile. It’s the perfect device for said scenario.

The personal book app is a great feature with a lot of potential, but it's limited to just the desktop. I recently created a personal book to memorize scripture. It takes a passage and uses just the first letter from each word. It preserves capitalization and punctuation. I created a personal book planning to use this on my phone and ipad. To my dismay, the mobile app doesn't support this feature. So much for my plan. I will just have to use paper. It would be great to open a personal book from the Tabs icon.

I'll throw my hat in here too. I just got a MeeBook M7 e-reader specifically so I could read my Logos books on easier. It has been excellent for reading books that are in Logos. However, I also have a growing collection of resources that are not in Logos. I tried with one of these resources to convert from PDF to .docx, and then import that docx into as a PB. It was all fine and dandy until I realized that my mobile won't get my PB.
Please change this. It would be so incredibly awesome to use PB's on mobile.
