When is the ESV Study Bible going to be available? One of the reasons for delays is that publishers will require Logos to hold off on a project's release date. In such cases, Logos is at the mercy of the original publisher even when they are ready to roll out a book. So while it can be frustrating to wait, it is the assumption of people who do not have all the facts to assume it is a flaw in the program.
PS
The point is, it is the nature of the publishing world and cannot be avoided.
I'm good with that. This is something REALLY worth waiting for. We have the print edition and even using the online version that the publisher provides has amazing reproducible resources for group study. LOGOS will make it even easier. Thanks LOGOS folks!
i am looking forward to the images being made available in the various logos media searches.
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.
Just having trouble with my display name!
Here's how to change your forum display name so the change sticks: http://wiki.logos.com/Changing_Forum_Display_Name
John,
We are currently planning to ship the ESV Study Bible on September 15, 2010.
Any chance of viewing some sample pages of ESV study Bible? Can't find any on Amazon (UK).
Hi Nicky,
You may have already seen this, but there is a dedicated website here:
You can read sample introductions to books of the bible and check out sample pages here:

It is well worth a look.
The ESV Study Bible & ESV Study Bible Notes are now live & available for download.

I bought it on pre-pub but it is not downloading. I guess I have to wait for the notice that the purchase has been processed?

Fred,
You do need to wait for email notification saying that the order was processed in order for the download to begin. As soon as you get that email, the resource should start downloading to your computer.

For taking as long as it did to get the ESV Study Bible to Logos, I'm surprised it seems to be missing functionality I would expect to see. That's not to say I'm ungrateful, but Logos has just spoiled us with the inter-linking of material, popups/popovers, etc. in the texts.
For example, page 1790 in the ESV Study Bible has the Herodian Dynasty. The text is miniscule even on a 24" monitor running 1920x1200 (Reading View). I don't see a way to zoom into the image. I also would expect that the Scripture references in the image to contain popups of those verses. Granted, I understand this is an image; one that could be rendered easily (it seems) to allow for textural links.
Granted this is a small quibble, but it should be doable. Am I expecting too much from Logos?
John, because it is in the pre-Pub program we do NOT know.
Anyone who tells you differently is just guessing.
This is a weakness of the Pre-pub program. I know folks respond that we should just have our money ready, but that is really NOT the point.
There presently isn't even a system to 'guess" although some try based on "UInder development" vs "Under Contract" as opposed to...?
Sorry.
