Steve, here are they.
There is nothing in your post. Is more than one Bible Backgrounds showing up in your Passage Guide when you enter a new scripture reference?
I have only this one.Is there any one I have to add?
(title:(manner, custom, background, archaeolog, archeolog) OR subject:(manner, custom,”New Testament—Background”,”Jews”, “Judaism”) OR (subject:(excavation, archaeolog, archeolog, antiquities) AND type:dictionary)) ANDNOT subject:(canon, doctrine,”Jews—Conversion”, “Hebrew Language”)
Blessings in Christ.

Tes,
Your last picture shows that you have multiple copies of Bible Backgrounds in your list of collections.
So i will show 2 sets of instructions on resolving this: Editing your Custom Passage Guide, then Removing Duplicate Collections.
Editing your Custom Passage Guide
1. Notice that i have my Custom Passage Guide open (the title does not say Passage Guide)
a. Notice the icon is different for a Custom Passage Guide
b. This is the icon for the Passage Guide (not a custom guide)
2. Notice that i have two extra copies of Sayings & Figure of Speech. This is due to having 3 collections with the same name. i will discuss how to resolve this in the next set of instructions. First i want to cleanup my Custom Passage Guide by using the PG editor.
Using the Custom PG editor
3. In my Custom PG, click on the icon to open the menu.
4. In the drop down menu click on Edit guide template to have Logos4 open the guide editor for my custom PG.
5. Now Logos4 has opened the guide editor (notice the icon for the guide editor).
6. Use the scroll bar to locate my duplicate collections (or a tool that you want to remove from your custom PG).
7. Find the duplicate tools that i want to remove from my custom PG. Then click on the X to remove them.
8. If you want to add new tools to your custom PG you can click on the tool and Logos4 will add it to the bottom of your list on the right. (this is just extra info that might come in handy)
9. When you are done editing your custom PG, then click on the X to close the guide editor.

Removing Duplicate Collections
Now lets learn how to remove our duplicate collections.
It would be a good idea to close all the window in your layout so that you don't get confused.1. In the top menu, click on Tools
2. In the drop down menu click on Collections and Logos4 will open our collections tool.
3. Now we see our collection tool window.
4. In the collection toolbar, click on Open. Logos4 will show a drop down list of all our collections.
5. In the drop down list, use the scroll bar to locate your duplicate collections. Notice that they have parenthesis with a number (example: (2) or (3) and so on).
6. Now to remove a duplicate collection, right click on the collection that you want to delete. Logos4 shows a drop down menu.
7. In the drop down menu click on Delete and Logos4 will permanently delete that collection.
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 to remove other duplicate collections.

All these years and I never got curious about that “add” button in the passage guide. There is only so much a person can do with “resource prioritization” in the library. I am anxious to explore the benefits of managing the resources used in guides. Thanks for pointing this out in your excellent description of adding collections to the passage guide. I hope to be a bit more curious for a while as I realize I am missing a few Logos features in my study. Thanks
