In light of some other threads concerning permissions for publication, I wanted to make clear that I have permission to post these files.  Dr. Hess simply asked that if I publish them here, I agree to continue to update the information when the seminary releases new versions.  I make sure and submit all changes made to him, and I always send him the link to this thread.

These new file versions should not create warnings.  The only thing that has changed is that the empty heading fields have been taken away and the table in the OT version has been set so that it will not create warnings.

Thanks for spotting that.  I will include it in the next version, which I plan to get out soon.  Most of the changes will be corrections, but there have been a few changes in status of books.  I have a list of all of the Pre-Pubs/not available books that I go through for changes, which takes a while.  When I get all the way through I will update the lists.

 Longman, Tremper, III.  Job (BCOTWP).  Evangelical discussion of the book’s theology guided with special strength in the Hebrew poetry.

 Trible, Phyllis.  Texts of Terror:  Literary-Feminist Readings of Biblical Narratives  (OBT).  Fortress, 1984.  A classical work, which combines literary and feminist criticism, to highlight the tragedy and violence in the stories of four women in the Old Testament.

 Trible, Phyllis.  Rhetorical Criticism: Context, Method and the Book of Jonah.  Fortress, 1995.  A helpful introduction to rhetorical criticism with a very close literary reading of the text.  Also designed for classroom use.

 Fretheim, Terence E.  First and Second Kings  (WeBC).  Westminster John Knox, 1999.  A popular discussion that focuses on the literary and rhetorical direction and purpose of the texts.

 Wharton, James A.  Job  (WeBC).  Westminster John Knox, 1999.  A literary reading of the book of Job that emphasizes Job's search for and gift of the presence of God.

 Smith, Mark S.  God in Translation:  Deities in Cross-Cultural Discourse in the Biblical World.  Eerdmans, 2010.  Profound, detailed study tracing attitudes toward monotheism and polytheism in the ancient world.

 Beyer, Bryan E.  Encountering the Book of Isaiah:  A Historical and Theological Study.  Encountering Biblical Studies.  Baker, 2007.  A very helpful and wide-ranging, illustrated introduction with good side discussions and charts on a variety of theological themes.  Conservative Evangelical. 

Corrected the following work which is listed in the Denver Recommendations under Wycliffe Exegetical Commentary, but is actually available in Logos from Biblical Studies Press as simply An Exegetical Commentary, without Wycliffe in the title.  It is the same book per Amazon:

Thanks Don, I enjoy doing it.  The only thing that I don't like about it is that I end up purchasing a lot of books every time I go through the lists!  I am also very excited about the biblical languages collection.
