Today, I thought, “Carta for Christmas!”
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Unless they skip prepup and get published like some resources in the past, I don’t think it’s going to happen. It’d be nice if it did.
Personally, I’m not planning on duplicating the set anymore unless it was available in Spanish. Why contract negotiations have failed between CARTA publishers and FL is beyond comprehension, but it doesn’t matter anymore.

PS. Anyway, Bump for those who still want it! 👍😁👌

Carta will only be offered as a bundle with CS Lewis' Narnia series, the works of Robert Alter, George Marsden, Alister McGrath, the modern Mormonism collection, the science/religion/hermeneutics collection, an Akkadian/Hebrew lexicon, and the holographs of the Pauline corpus

Hopefully we'll get this in Logos someday soon. This thread is nearing it's 9th anniversary.

Been holding out on Accordance in hopes that a miracle would happen and we'd get Carta in Logos!

Even Wordsearch Bible Software has now started offering some Carta volumes. They just started selling Carta's Understanding the Bible Series 22 volumes.
If Wordsearch can do it, why can't FL strike a deal once and for all for these resources? Some have said, FL is hard to deal with, but I think they just need to find the right person to negotiate with Carta in order to bring their resources to the Logos platform.
Anyway, look at it this way, if Wordsearch now has Carta resources, maybe it's a sign Logos may have them soon too.

Why torture yourselves for almost a decade when these resources can be available at your fingertips NOW and with far way more superior graphics?
Every time I get an Accordance email, I check for Carta (Understanding, so, so), and graphic resourses (been slow for a couple of years). Just me, I can't see a Logos Carta, absent Logos better graphics.
I've been sorely tempted (almost 40 days and even nights) to get the Accordance MSS images module, but my Bibleworks is handy for overlaying the verse numbers. Bibleworks even lets you adjust contrast, color layers, etc and auto links to your other Bible.
Hmmm. Yes, Logos refs the web, in the explorers.

My sales rep will probably offer 20% off extra and a free book! Not bad at all 👍😁👌 I can always copy and paste the images to use them in PowerPoint or slide shows or Accordance’s own Paper (sermon editor).

That WS pricing is magnificent for a 22 volume set - it woud take something special to happen for FL to offer it at that price. And it’s not even a Black Friday Deal.

All this talk about getting Carta in other software programs makes me sad. [:(] I just want it in Logos.

Same here. I would suppose that no other platform would tag images as well as Logos. Besides, I dont want to depend on two different platforms for sermon graphics.

Enter Accordance! Far better superior graphics that put Logos to shame. Just ask Denise 👍😁👌

Since Logos doesn't have Carta yet, I figured that it would not be against Forum policy to post this. The Biblical Archaeological Society has some great deals here. and many of the resources are from Carta....but they are not ebooks.

Me, too! Part of why I invested in Logos was a more extensive availability of resources. I was surprised therefore when on the same day I looked for Carta maps and EGGNT and found they were both missing in Logos, even though they are both premier resources. I sent an email to both those companies encouraging them to make them available in Logos, but never heard back from them.Bruce Dunning said:All this talk about getting Carta in other software programs makes me sad. Actually they only have one EGGNT available and it’s in Faithlife e-book format. It’s the volume on Hebrews: https://ebooks.faithlife.com/search?query=Eggnt&sortBy=Relevance&limit=60&page=1&filters=status-live_Status&ownership=all

When I was attempting to work with Carta, they were very interested in Faithlife distributing/reselling their "Biblewhere" subscription product instead of licensing their individual titles like they had done for years with other Bible Software companies. This was a new business model they were pursuing and understandably, they didn't want anything disrupting it. I suspect they are still focusing 100% on Biblewhere and that remains the sole reason they are not doing any new licensing of their existing titles. I've been out of the game now for over a year, so this is purely speculation. I would be delighted to see Faithlife and Carta come to a deal.

Thank you, Bill, for an explanation, and your efforts in attempting to license Carta’s titles.
I’ve known about Biblewhere for a long time. There are two issues that don’t make Biblewhere a good fit for me.
First, I want to buy books rather than subscribe to them.
Second, I’ve already got access to people, places, topics, and verses within Logos. I’m not interested in dividing my time or money between different Bible study software.
I hope Carta Jerusalem can appreciate that there are plenty of Logos customers who are committed to purchasing Logos editions of their titles.
Thanks again, Bill.

Bill, welcome back to the forums thanks for weighing in with your explanation. I'm sure Faithlife misses you a lot but I'm pleased to see the difference you are making in your new career.
Your explanation of Biblewhere makes sense and is helpful for this community. I totally agree with PetachChristian's reason' why it is not a good fit for many using Logos - ownership vs subscription and dividing time and money between two companies. I sincerely hope that Faithlife would pursue solving this challenge pray to that end.
Meanwhile, as I have always done, I choose to be optimistic. I think a agreement between Faithlife and Carta would benefit both companies and not sacrifice Carta's objectives.

And .... ALWAYS buy when you need something, even if squeezing the dollars. There's so many major resources I got 'on theory' that later were removed, or no longer an option. Digital has few 'used book stores'.
