Exporting library to Excel

I have a filtered list of books in my library. I'd like to export the list to Excel, but neither of the options to export to Excel documents is not working.

What am I doing wrong? Are there steps I must take to make this work before clicking these? TIA

Lew

The Excel options have never worked for me. I normally save as an XML file, open that file in Excel, and then save it as an Excel file.

Thanks for the confirmation. That's the path I chose, but I hoped the software could do the work for me. 😏

I wonder if this has ever been reported as a bug.

This functionality works for me using Logos 39.1.6 on a Windows computer.

    1. Open Library
    2. Filter to Type:Journal
    3. Select Print/Export
    4. Select "Send to new document: Microsoft Excel"
    5. The information appears in a new spreadsheet that opens on my screen

If this is not working for you, please give detailed steps explaining how you tried to use this functionality.

    I did the same on Verbum/Mac, Excel 365 ver. 16.94, Verbum/Mac 39.1.6. Worked fine!

    @Lew Worthington and @Yasmin Stephen

Any chance that either app is running as administrator?

I don't think so (as in I have no idea 😅). I've gotten so used to the function not working that I've haven't tried it in a while. I'll check a little later tonight and post back.

    Joe,

Following the steps you suggested (similar to what I had done before with a different filter), Excel opens temporarily (after Logos "thinks" for a few seconds), but Excel is blank; no spreadsheet is created. After a few seconds, Excel closes.

    I'm on Logos 39.1.6. I'm on Windows 11 Home 24H2. MS Excel for MS 365 MSO (Version 2412 Build 16.0.18324.20092 64-bit).

If Excel is already open with a blank spreadsheet, choosing to paste into a an open document does nothing noticeable.

I finally remembered to test this, and I'm experiencing the same issue as Lew mentioned 👇🏽

(Logos is version 39.1.6 | Excel is version 2412)

Inspired by Yasmin's test, I ran an additional test on a different PC. I almost never use this PC with Logos, but the export worked. AFAIK, it's got the same versions of everything, but I can check that later.
