Is there still the ability to open an image (e.g. a map in a study bible) full screen? I couldn't figure it out last night.
This is fixed in the latest release [:D]

If you go into the “workplace switcher” screen you should be able to remove the split screen totally. Click the “x” at the top of the split area
Thanks Graham,
Although, I would still like to be able to swipe up to see it.
For instance, it would be sweet to have an ESV/ESV Study Bible "workspace" and then be able to double-finger swipe to an NIV/NIV Study Bible "workspace". I just don't want to have to see the Study Bible part at all times.
Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. And your example is very helpful.
Sounds like a good idea

Oh wow, what a nice surprise. Double tap on an image to open it full screen, and it's zoomable. Thanks for implementing this improvement!!
I tend to think a single short tap should be enough to open the view up.

I know it’s been mentioned, but I can’t seem to find a response.... LogosNext crashes every time I try to make a clipping.

This is still resource-specific, I take it? I've tried with the first 5 images I came across in the Cultural Background Study Bible without any luck, and I'm definitely on the latest beta.

Ah yeah, seems so. I just tried in the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible too, and it doesnt work in the same way.

I have things set up so that I have my Bible and Notes file open in one screen and the next screams synced to the first is my commentary. When I tap on the note icon in a Bible verse and it pops up. I hit the Edit Note link at the bottom of the window that pops up, but it doesn’t move the Note file to that note.
This led to a new need. We need a search box so that I could search for this note or other things in my open Note document.

Even in resources where it works, I've seen times where it simply won't work, on images where it previously did. Then later on it starts working again. [:^)]

I am not a participant in the LogosNext Beta but I have been reading this thread with great interest and excitement. Please see comments/observations below:
Bible Button:
Bill Anderson said:Does anyone find the Logos logo functioning as the Bible logo inconsistent with the UI?
Yes Bill. I do.
Faithlife, I believe the current Bible button on the bottom toolbar is inconsistent with the rest of the toolbar and it should be grey like the other buttons. To my eyes, the high contrast logos icon image that is used is visually distracting. It is also confusing because the image implies something other than a Bible access function.
Bill Anderson said:How about a logo such as this?
'
Edit: I don't know what happened when I inserted the image.
Yes! Faithlife, please consider Bill’s suggested image or something similar (a non-distracting grey book image consistent with the other buttons).
Fonts:
Please allow users to select a font style of their choice from a set of available options. Please include Verdana as one of the options. This has been requested in Uservoice and in multiple forum threads for a long time (see links below).
Uservoice links:
- allow users to select font style of their choice
- let me choose the font on ios (although this suggestion states IOS, it reflects an android need as well)
Forums links:
- android bible app change fonts possibility
With all that said, I do appreciate all the changes and improvements that you are making.
Thank you

In regards to the latest beta version, I think the previous Bible icon in the center was much more attractive than now.
Could not agree more. First icon was catchy, sharp, crisp, and portrayed the Logos brand much better! Hope it gets changed back.

FWIW, I don't agree. I think it's helpful for beginners to have an obvious button that gets them straight to the Bible. The Logos logo doesn't say "Bible" in the way that a Bible-specific icon does. That said, I'd prefer that the icon was the cover of your preferred Bible. I suggested that several weeks ago, and the newly-designed Kindle app that was released a few days ago has a very similar design.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

The top (more so than the bottom) status bar is a bit of a productivity/ease-of-use killer. When I type in a scripture reference or go through the book/chapter/verse dialog, I expect it to go to that verse. It does, but because the top bar is covering over the verse, I cannot see it. So then I have to tap the screen, move up and down, etc. to get the verse to show.

When doing a mumultiparty reading plan, it is super annoying that following the link to the next reading opens into a new tab. Similarly when I️ split screens like this, when a link in top opens in the same resource that is open on bottom panel, don’t open a new tab

I used to receive these updates to LogosNext, but am now only receiving updates to the standard Logos Beta. Is this a problem on my end, or was I excluded from this particular beta test?
Thanks.

I am starting to think there needs to be a "sync" button on the menu. When I open the app (say, on an iPhone), a lot of times it doesn't go to where I left off on my iPad.

I’m getting pretty consistent bugs in display on the closed beta (vNext) where text is skipped. I’ve gotten this in Bibles and books. Oftentimes closing the book and closing the app and then reopening the app and the book fixes the display problem.
Here is is an example. Ive posted others. I can continue to document if that would be helpful.

Hello, all!
Thanks for your continued feedback. We’ve been taking much of your input and turning it into action items for either future improvements or big fixes. Again, super helpful. I know we’ve made some pretty significant changes— thanks for going on this journey with us!
There’s a new feature we’ve shipped with the most recent beta, that I would love your feedback on. It’s called “Reference Scanner”.
What does it do?
You take a picture of Bible references and Logos will quickly look up all of the references in the photo— listing them conveniently in a tab for you. Use cases: your pastor’s sermon notes, a list of cross references in a phyisical Bible, a seminary syllabus. Pretty much any time you want to look up a list of Bible references. Works best with type. If you have really good handwriting, it may pick that up too.
How do you use it?
Open up the “More” menu, then tap “Reference Scanner” from the top of the list. You’ll need to give permission for Logos to access your camera. Then, either upload a photo from your camera roll or take a photo.
After it scans your photo, a list of references will appear in a new tab.
I have attached 3 photos to the post. One is where to find Reference Scanner, one is the book that I scanned, and the other is the results screen. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
***It’s only on the iOS Beta right now but will be coming to Android soon

If the beta is open to additional testers, I’d love to get a TestFlight invite. I use Logos on an iPhone X and 12.9” iPad Pro.

It is VERY slow, at least the several times I tried it. The first time my lighting was better and it seemed to work pretty well. I tried it in a lower light setting (not dark by any means) and it failed repeatedly.
It isn't clear what is supposed to happen once you click "scan." Nothing changes on the screen immediately.
Down the road, it would be good if the user could add these verses to a passage list.
