That would make ESV SB in Logos just perfect resource of daily use.
I'd love to have a reverse interlinear TNIV. That would make it my daily use Bible. As it is now I go back and forth between it and ESV and sometimes NRSV. Then again, using a variety of different versions has its benefits.
TNIV is good but I think it would be better to wait for the new NIV in 2011 and have that as an alternative to ESV. That's just my opinion.

Well, my reasons for liking the TNIV better than ESV will be partially obliterated by the new NIV which will revert back to more traditional gendered language, but we won't get into that discussion here.

[As I agree with you, it would just be a "conversation"? Not a discusion?
Perhaps we will need to call this newer version the "old" ONIV then?

Or maybe it should be called NIV Classic (as with Coke --> New Coke --> Coke Classic). And eventually the word "Classic" will be dropped, just the way Coke is just called Coke once again. Same old formula. Messing around with it didn't go over very well.
My understanding is that the TNIV improved a lot of things that were due to more recent manuscript discoveries and improvements in textual criticism methodology, etc. But it also changed the gendered language in places where really everyone (male & female) was intended to be included, such as Psalm 1 ("Blessed is the man who..."). It's not that harmful to change it to person, IMHO. But I guess there are people who treasure the old familiar wording and think there was something important about the fact that the revealed word of God used masculine words there and elsewhere. And it gets dicey when you start getting into areas of the NT which involve church leadership, because elders were all man/male in the original text. The question then becomes: is that just a grammatical artifact, a cultural relic, or a normative rule? To discuss that would generate a dispute, so we'd better not. The TNIV did not mess with pronouns where they referred to God (e.g., "God created human beings in his own image." instead of "God created man in his own image.") or a specific person who was a man (e.g., Jesus, Paul, the disciples, etc.).
I brought my new leather bound ESV to church last Sunday and made a point of showing it to a fellow member who is always harping on people for not bringing their Bibles to church. (We always have the Scripture text printed in the bulletin, so there's little incentive to bring one's Bible and most people don't.) He wanted to check it out and looked at Psalm 1 which is his test for whether he'll dismiss a Bible translation as utterly patriarchal, and he saw "man" there and closed the book.
I don't mind the masculine language all that much since I grew up with it in the KJV and old NIV, and I know perfectly well what the intent is. But I must admit after hearing the NRSV read as our Bible of choice in church for years, it does sound a bit jarring to hear "man" in some contexts in Scripture. I still wouldn't say it bothers me. But the fact that it even causes me to take notice means it's taking my mind off the more important meaning of the text and onto "issues" which shouldn't be issues. However I completely understand and appreciate the fact that for many, the "person" language causes them to stop and take notice since they are so used to it the other way, and that prevents them from getting into the fuller meaning of the text. So really this issue won't be resolved unless and until gender-neutral Bible language becomes more widely familiar to the point where it's not even noticed anymore, or else we'll just continue with two diverging communities of Bible readers. Hopefully we'll all be able to be charitable and understanding to each other, as we all have legitimate reasons for our preferences.

Awesome! Thanks Logos.
One question though... will this be an available resource on my iPhone as well? How soon will that be from Sept. 15?

Thomas, I think you're confusing the full ESV Study Bible (ESV + Notes) with the ESV SB Notes alone, which is still 29.95 in prepub.
