If you’ve already started a subscription, we’re showing our appreciation by retroactively starting the 5% annual reward clock to the date your Pro or Max subscription started.
I'm happy and grateful to receive this news. It was a question I had and was about to ask.

I think that is what I will do. I can get 2 years of premium at the better price for cheaper than what I paid for bronze and it would have more features. After 2 years, I'd have essentially bronze feature set through the fallback license. I understand they may have made a last minute decision to extend the sale but i literally bought it on the last day of it and there was no indication that the sale would continue at that point. I know they said the discounts would be at least 30% but the rumors suggested more than that and i thought i'd get a discount it wouldn't take 10 years to recoup.

Have you considered a full catalog subscription like netflix or perlego for books? Or credits like audible so at least we could choose the books which interest us rather than a fixed bundle?
Subscriptions pay (at least that's how it works with Kindle) based on the amount read rather than the book rented. For publishers, this is a bad deal, except for bestsellers that people read cover to cover. Few do that with a biblical commentary

Just keep in mind that you would no longer be eligible for the Legacy Fallback License. If ownership of features is not important to you, I certainly would understand your decision.

A few quick questions: 1. Are there any deadlines on getting in at these prices (especially for L10 users)? 2. Will these prices increase down the road (in the foreseeable future, for those of us who need to budget our expenses)? 3. If we signup for two years paid upfront, after two years, can we re-signup for two more years paid upfront if we desire to? 4. If we pay annually or two years paid upfront for a lower tier and decide to upgrade to a higher tier, can we upgrade and pay the difference for the higher tier?

Not at the moment. If we do decide to impose a deadline, we'll give everyone plenty of notice.

We have no plans to increase subscription prices, but we intend to be around for a very long time, and over the long term, prices may change at some point.

That won't happen automatically. It's two years upfront, followed by annual renewal. It may be possible to manually to do years' upfront at the point of renewal, but that's a long way off and I wouldn't want to predict the answer.

You will be able to upgrade/downgrade between tiers by logging into your account. If you downgrade, we'll extend your subscription on a pro-rata basis. If you upgrade, we'll charge you the pro-rated difference and keep your term the same.

One more question: Do you still go to the early access page for signing up for any of the tiers, or is there a new link?

It's the same link: https://www.logos.com/early-access/subscriptions
This link will no longer work in about a week, after no one will be able to sign up for early access. People will have to wait until 10/21, the likely date of the subscription launch.

Taylor, I’m really enjoying the subscription model so far, especially the early access! Quick question though—I purchased the 1-year Logos Max subscription earlier this month. As you mentioned, the 2-year option wasn’t available at that time. Once it becomes available, will those who have already paid for the 1-year plan be able to extend to 2 years? It would be a bit disappointing to have joined early, only to find out that waiting a few more weeks could have allowed me to lock in the 2-year pricing.

EA is effective until 4 October then you must wait until formal release.

Thanks! I'm confused by this.
Looks like some features are in Pro that aren't in Max, and some stuff are in Pro that I thought might be in Premium?

I think there might have been a glitch there, because from what I understand, everything in Pro is supposed to be in Max.

Thanks so much for your patience as we’ve been preparing for the new era of Logos! Today I’ve got two big updates to share with you:
-
Early access is closing (and a thank you!)
-
Pricing details
First, on early access:
We’re closing early access to our new subscriptions on October 4 to get everything prepped for when we fully launch subscriptions in the fall. If you’re already on early access, no action is required. Your subscription will continue without any interruption.
On the topic of perks, we shared in prior posts about a 5% reward coupon that’s based on your previous year’s spend. If you’ve already started a subscription, we’re showing our appreciation by retroactively starting the 5% annual reward clock to the date your Pro or Max subscription started.
And now, about our subscription pricing details:
We wanted to honor those who've been loyal to Logos and keep to the spirit of dynamic pricing. This means all customers who own a base package will receive special pricing on our new subscriptions.
-
Logos 10 owners, as we’ve already announced, will receive the best subscription prices based on the feature set they own.
-
Logos 10 owners will also receive a better price on any subscription where they don’t qualify for the Logos 10 price.
-
Customers who own any base package (no matter which version or level) will also receive a better price.
Here are the details:
In addition to offering monthly and annual terms, you’ll also be able to pay for two years of an annual subscription upfront. This will be a great opportunity to lock in your subscription price for two years and automatically qualify for the Legacy Fallback License (if you own a Logos base package). For example, if you pay for two years upfront in October 2024, your subscription will not renew until October 2026, at which point your subscription will renew at the annual rate. Our annual terms give you the equivalent of 2 months free, and the two-year upfront option provides 5 months free.
We're excited for you all to experience the next era of Logos as we get ready for launch and an extra big thank you to those who have been part of the early access program. Your feedback has been invaluable to us, and we don't take your time or trust for granted.
Thanks Taylor for this information. The one observation I'd make is that some of us may have spent a small fortune on resources without actually ever buying feature sets. I've spent well in excess of 5 figures and yet this doesn't count for anything in terms of subscription pricing. Perhaps this aspect could be considered. Certainly the subscription model is more attractive to me than the previous lump sum model.

I have to be honest that at the full price without discounts I wouldn't consider it. With the discounts, I'm feeling disappointed about it.
Well, there was quite a lot to read to understand all that is happening. Some of it I've read more than once as I'm convinced there is still a lot of potential to misunderstand what is being said. I am not disappointed anymore, I'm beginning to be quite excited.
My personal reflection is that these announcements have always caused a lot of concern on the forum. My own included. Part of me wishes that faithlife would find a way to cause less anxiety in the way they do these things. However, I think the dialogue seems very productive in the end. Thanks faithlife folks, Mark especially for your consideration and gracious engagement.
Suggestion: I personally would have preferred the distinction between pro and max to be limited to resources rather than features. I do understand that this is the case for now but it is planned to change. I want full features but prefer to own resources. I might be wrong but I wonder if it would be fairer to the early Logos now subscribers - wasn't Logos Now sold on the basis of locking in that price for full features?

I had the same problem.
I subscribe to a single year of Logos MAX, but I had not an option to select the 2 years upfront.
Please, send me a message when it will be availible, ok?

A base package does not mean just the Standard or faith-specific packages, right? For example, the Discipleship packages are base packages as well?
Discipleship also have a feature set, so it would also count under "any other Feature set"?

I would think that the list of base packages at Compare Base Packages | Logos Bible Software can be assumed to be exactly that. Logos would have to speak to any of the potential "base packages" not on that list.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I think that makes sense, and on the FAQ, only Fundamentals is called out as an exclusion. Yet, the Discipleship Essentials costs only slightly more. I asked this question via chat support, and I received an unclear "no, it does not count for the subscription." So, I thought it would be worth seeking a specific answer from a source better versed in upcoming releases.

First off, I am not really happy about subscriptions considering current circumstances including being a part-time college student, military reservist, working in corrections, deployed, having lost home and stuff to house fire, and getting put into financial strain with mortgage company cheating me out of insurance money and forcing me to use savings and get additional loans to rebuild. Just a really bad time for subscriptions for me personally and with this economy.
Second, I realize that subscriptions are unfortunately the model being used by the software and tech industry. So despite my displeasure, it is what it is.
Third, my email for early access didn’t work once I had time to deal with it after spending 8 months fighting mortgage company, dealing with lawyers, and dealing with politicians trying to get things righted. So I never got to use it. Is it now just going to the 30 day trial to access it as it’s being turned off?
Fourth, is there any pricing tiers specifically for academic use or with academic program? I haven’t seen it. Also these tiers made no mention of Academic packages only regular standard packages so I did use the Send Off Deals to purchase the Full Feature Upgrade but still appears that limited me to Pro subscription or am I wrong in that? At this point, I have multiple packages including Academic, Full Feature upgrade, and Verbum Bronze.
Last, if there is an Academic tier, I figure I better pay for two year before deployment ends as corrections pay won’t cut it until I get out of this financial mess I’m in.

Actually, looks like I may qualify for Max because I got Full Feature Upgrade.

Hi, Brent.
Glad you were able to get the Full Feature Set. That will definitely qualify you for discount on Logos Max. If you end up not being able to subscribe right away, you won't lose anything from what you already have and it will continue to work for you. You would just not get any new features until you subscribed. You will however continue to receive updates. Logos will be offering a two year subscription which will give you five months free once they officially launch and that will be the best savings of five months. I definitely understand your feelings about the subscriptions. And thank you for your service.

Will an academic discount be eligible for savings in a similar way to how there is a 30% discount on base packages offered?
