Learn to Study the Bible
- This wiki page describes the BWS (Bible Word Study) Guide.
- It does not discuss functions that work across all guides such as the features built into the resource icon, section title bars, and document management tools. However, it provides links to this information.
- On the forum and in this wiki the abbreviation BWS is often used for the Bible Word Study guide.
- The Bible Word Study Guide is a group of tools which can aid you in exploring and learning about a Bible word.
- The BWS is useful when you want to learn about a specific word and how it is used throughout the Bible. It is best used in conjunction with the Bible Sense Lexicon which emphasizes concepts.
- To see how a specific word is used relative to a specific verse, the Exegetical guide may be a better tool.
- When you enter word or select a word for a Bible Word Study you get one of two forms:
- If you enter an English word (or any word not in an original language) you will see this form.
- If you enter an Original Language word (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek) you will see this form.
- There are various tool sections in the guide which will help you find:
- The Starter Base Package does not include all features of the Bible Word Study Guide. See Logos comparison chart for details.
- Phrases, Root and Senses are new in Logos 5.
