Logos 46.0 Beta 1
Version: 46.0.249
Release Date: October 7th, 2025
New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
Study Assistant
- Study Assistant is Logos’ AI-powered research companion that transforms search into a conversation. Instead of simply running a search and reading a static result, it allows you to carry on a dynamic dialogue with your library, asking questions in everyday language and exploring Scripture in depth.
- When you submit a question about the Bible or theology, Study Assistant performs a deep search of your Logos library, synthesizes the results, and delivers a clear, concise answer grounded in trusted books with inline citations. You can continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions, refining the focus, or jumping directly into the cited resources, with the relevant text highlighted for easy reference. The experience feels like a modern chat, yet it remains firmly anchored in Search, emphasizing that this is serious study, not a general-purpose chatbot.
- It’s like having a research assistant who knows your entire library and is always ready to guide you deeper into Scripture.
- This initial release is the first iteration of Study Assistant; ongoing enhancements and additions are planned for future versions.
Factbook
- “Questions to Ask” is a new section in Factbook that brings the power of Study Assistant directly into your study flow. Instead of just reading through information, you’ll see a list of natural, thought-provoking questions about the topic you’re exploring, similar to what you’d see when running a Google search, but powered by your Logos library. When you expand a question, Study Assistant searches your library for the most relevant information and crafts a clear, cited answer. If you want to go even deeper you can click through to Study Assistant to continue the conversation.
Other Improvements for All Users
In App Purchase
- You can now add a payment method to buy books directly within the Logos application. The new, in-app modal will appear if no billing profile is set, allowing you to add a billing profile and complete the checkout and no longer redirects you to the web storefront. As in previous versions, once you have a billing profile, the “Buy now” button will purchase and download the book in one click.
New Tab (empty tile “plus” button)
- When a layout tile space is empty, we now show a large ➕ button to open a New Tab to easily open your next tool or book.
- Note: While this new button is ungated, the improved New Tab v2 is available only for subscribers. If you don’t have a subscription, this button will open the old-style New Tab, just as it would from ctrl+T or the + on the tab strip.
Welcome Dialog
- All supported non-English languages will now see a Welcome dialog based on their subscription (including free tier/no tier) when opening Logos for the first time or when upgrading their application to a higher tier.
Accessibility
- Added accessibility labels for app edition badges.

Layouts Menu
- You can now use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+a) to open the Layouts menu.
Known Issues
Layouts
- Closing the middle panel in a three-column layout can cause the new empty tile pane to cover one of the open panels. This issue has been fixed for the upcoming beta 2.
