New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
Study Assistant
- Study Assistant is Logos’ AI-powered research companion that transforms search into a conversation. Instead of simply running a search and reading a static result, it allows you to carry on a dynamic dialogue with your library, asking questions in everyday language and exploring Scripture in depth.
- When you submit a question about the Bible or theology, Study Assistant performs a deep search of your Logos library, synthesizes the results, and delivers a clear, concise answer grounded in trusted books with inline citations. You can continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions, refining the focus, or jumping directly into the cited resources. The experience feels like a modern chat, yet it remains firmly anchored in Search, emphasizing that this is serious study, not a general-purpose chatbot.
- It’s like having a research assistant who knows your entire library and is always ready to guide you deeper into Scripture.
- You can open Study Assistant from the More menu, or continue a conversation from a Smart Search Synopsis, or from the new Questions to Ask section in Factbook.
- The chat input box allows you to choose between answers from Your Books or All Books (including locked books).
- Study Assistant features a history sidebar that allows you to return to previous conversations. Each time you ask a question, the thread is stored for easy access later on. Conversations made on other platforms are also available to revisit.
- This initial release is the first iteration of Study Assistant on mobile; ongoing enhancements and additions are planned for future versions.
Push Notifications
- We’ve added push notifications to help you get more out of Logos—whether that’s a reminder about Free Book of the Month or tips for new features you might enjoy.
- Control your preferences from the Notifications setting in the More menu, and find all your messages in the new Message Center on the dashboard.
- When you have unread messages, you’ll see a small red dot to let you know.
Other Features & Improvements
End of support for iOS/iPadOS 16
- The Logos mobile apps v47 will require iOS/iPadOS 17 or higher. The devices that will be affected include: iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPad (5th generation), and the 1st generation of iPad Pro models (both 9.7 and 12.9 inches).
- iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 officially released from Apple on Sept 15, 2025. In alignment with Apple’s policy and our existing practice, we support only the current version and the two previous versions of iOS and iPadOS. That means we will be dropping support for iOS/iPadOS 16 and only supporting versions 17, 18, and 26. Likewise, when iOS/iPadOS version 27 comes out next year, we will drop support for iOS/iPadOS 17, and support iOS/iPadOS 18, 26, and 27, and so on.
- Only the most recent version of the Logos mobile apps are supported.
Smart Search
- For a limited time, non-subscribers may use Smart Search in All Search and Books Search, up to 100 times each month.
Insights
- Word Info cards now display clearer, merged properties for Hebrew words in non-reverse interlinear resources.
- Word Info cards now automatically expand to show relevant lemma information when offline.
