New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
Factbook
- Factbook now has expanded support for important historical and extrabiblical writings, such as the Code of Hammurabi, 1 Clement, and Damascus Rule.
- The new Texts section shows original-language manuscripts and modern translations for both biblical and extrabiblical writings, while the Commentaries section now includes commentaries on extrabiblical writings for the first time.
Study Assistant
- Study Assistant now features a history sidebar that allows you to return to previous conversations. Each time you ask a question, the thread is stored for easy access later on. All conversations are available to revisit, including those made on v46 and those made on other platforms.
- The Study Assistant history sidebar supports searching conversations, as well as renaming and deleting conversations.
Search
- Smart Bible Search now includes a Smart Synopsis card at the top of the results, similar to the one that is already present in Smart Search. When you run a Bible query, we generate a natural-language summary of the passage or topic, just like how it works in Smart Search, but tailored for Scripture.
Auto-Translation
- Auto-translation markup has moved to the margin as a ribbon. This reduces the space used by the markup, and prevents some visual glitches.
Other Improvements for All Users
macOS Support
- Our support policy states that we support the same versions of macOS that Apple does. Apple supports three major versions of 14, 15 and 26. As such, our minimum supported version of macOS is now 14.
Study Assistant
- Study Assistant now offers a limited number of queries for every user. These messages function the same as standard Study Assistant queries and can all be used within a single conversation or across multiple threads.
- The Study Assistant icon will now be displayed in the application toolbar.
Smart Search
- For a limited time, non-subscribers may use Smart Search in All Search and Books Search, up to 100 times each month.
Smart Synopsis
- Smart Synopsis now offers 3 free uses per month for non-subscribers to try out the feature.
Factbook
- The Question to Ask section now highlights resource text used to generate answers.
In App Purchase
- Purchasing books within the Store section of Factbook will now present an In-App Dialog if no billing information is set.
Book Panel
- After purchasing a resource in the unavailable resource panel, we will show a Purchase Complete text and the resource will download and refresh the panel as expected.
Bug Fixes
Bible Study Builder
- Bible Study questions will now be numbered correctly when re-ordered.
Document Markers
- Hover preview will not flicker when hovering over a ribbon or document icon.
Factbook
- A horizontal scroll bar will no longer incorrectly appear at certain panel widths.
- Heading section subtitles containing dates will now correctly wrap.
Korean UI
- In Korean UI, the first character will no longer be duplicated when using the inline search feature within the Notes tool.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+Tab will now move focus to the next most recent tab in all panels. View discussion.
Reading Plans
- Reading plans that are "At Your Pace" will no longer display blank reading sessions in the reading plan panel.
Refly links
- A fix is now implemented that will restore access to clicking ref.ly links outside the app to open directly in Logos instead of the web browser.
- As such, this fix will only apply when updating from a fixed version (v47.0 or later) to a newer version.
Search
- Morph searches now include results that were previously excluded because indicators like footnotes were incorrectly counted as words or spaces.
Sermon Builder
- Document will now be scrolled back to the place of the edit when an Undo or Redo action occurs.
- Verse references will now be detected while offline.
- User uploaded media can now be applied to all slides.
Smart Search
- Smart Synopsis now loads in a collapsed state by default, minimizing visual clutter. To view the full summary or background information, simply click the "More" button at the bottom of the section to expand it.
- Drag and drop functionality is restored when opening a result in a specific panel.
Study Assistant
- Study Assistant messages will now properly display numbered list in the chat box.
Mac Bug Fixes
Factbook
- The “More” link in Topic Guide Atlas section will now expand the section with more results.
Dashboard
- When Logos is not set to open on Dashboard, clicking once on the dashboard icon will now fully render the Dashboard.
