New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
Bible Study Builder
- Keyboard shortcuts for passage block insertion have been updated to avoid interrupting text entry. Use CMD + Enter on Mac and ALT + Enter on Windows to create a passage block from a reference.
Dashboard
- Added the ability to use Smart Search directly from the dashboard.
Dynamic Toolbar
- In the Dynamic Toolbar, you can now shift+click on buttons to instantly toggle that setting on or off. This works with all buttons that display a menu with a toggle in the header, such as Interlinear, Visual Filters, Show Notes and Highlighting, and more.
Factbook
- Factbook now includes results from your Print Library Catalog in the Commentaries section, as well as unlicensed results when running online (see below).
Insights
- Insights is now available in:
- Bible Apparatus.
- Bible Study resources.
- Insight results better follow the current user position in bibles with more than one milestone.
Program Settings
- Added a new setting, “Prefer Minimized Toolbars”, under the Text Display section in the Program Settings which keeps the secondary resource toolbar collapsed until you expand it, and automatically collapses it when the panel is no longer active.
Search
- First time subscribers who run a Smart Bible search will be presented with an information toast.
- Added the ability to Save as Passage List in Smart Bible search.
- If Smart Bible search returns no results, we will now suggest switching to All Search.
- Added a suggestion to switch to Smart search after running a Fuzzy search.
Other Improvements for All Users
Accessibility
- Assistive technology on Windows will no longer require accessibility features to be explicitly turned on.
Auth Portal
- The Logos application now utilizes the standard Logos Auth Portal. Logging in will open a browser window to perform the sign-in.
- The sign-in screen has been redesigned to launch the Auth Portal.
- When opening the app with an account that has already been signed in, no additional login is required.
Resources
- When previewing an unlicensed book, it’s now possible to see whether it is available in a collection.
Program Settings
- Added a link to the right of Enabling Logging in the Program Settings to open the folder where your log files can be found.
- Added a new setting to prefer local results (instead of online) for Factbook and Insights. Requires a recent feature set (L9 or above).
Factbook
- Factbook now includes results from Cloud Books and the Print Library Catalog. It’s also possible to see results from books you don’t have a license to.
- Cloud books will appear in all sections.
- Print Books will appear in the Key Article, Dictionaries, Journals, and Sermons sections (for users who have added books to their Print Library Catalog).
- In these sections, unlicensed results will be displayed if there are no licensed results or when the user clicks “Discover more.”
- These improvements require an internet connection and “Prefer Local Data” set to “No,” which is the default (see above).
- The Key Article section now previews an article from a locked book when you have no articles on the topic in your library.
Search
- Suggest Smart Bible Search from Precise search for subscribers and non-subscribers when:
- The search returns no results.
- The query had more than 3 words.
- Smart Bible search for free users now shows a blue pill to “try for free”
- When versions are added to a Bible or Morph search, we will now show a loading spinner while the newly added version is loading.
- For users without a license the Try for Free pill will now say “Subscribe” instead when users are out of free uses.
Sermon Builder
- CMD+Enter on Mac and ALT+Enter on Windows will now create a passage block from a reference.

- Passage insertion helpers are now turned on by default and no longer optional. More details here
- Shift + Enter can now be used to create a soft line break on Windows. This was already possible on Mac.
- Clicks in the sermon outline will no longer sometimes be interpreted as drags.
- Focus will now be put in the sermon doc when a slide has been deleted.
- Detected passage references will no longer interrupt text entry when the user is typing near the mouse cursor Thread.
- Pasting from a Logos resource will now always create a Clipping block.
