New Features & Improvements for Subscribers
Study Assistant
Collection Picker
- You can now pick exactly which books or collections you want Study Assistant to search, giving you more control over your results and the content you interact with. The picker lets you easily choose from your saved collections or available resources.
Conversation Sharing
- You can now share any Study Assistant conversation thread with others using the "Copy link" button. This action generates a static link, which opens a “snapshot” copy of the conversation at the time it was created. Opening the link displays the conversation exactly as it was when shared, even the original chat has since been changed or deleted. From this shared point, the recipient can continue the conversation and ask new questions, just as they would with any of their own conversations.
Sermon & Bible Study Markers
- Sermon & Bible Study markers are now available on Android, showing clickable icons and margin ribbons in Bibles where sermons or Bible studies are tagged to specific passages (margin ribbons are disabled on narrow screens to improve readability).
- These can be toggled on/off in View Settings, and more information on the associated documents can be found in the Insights menu.
Other Changes & Improvements for All Users
Study Assistant
- You can now quickly access Study Assistant on phones using the new “Ask” button on the bottom tab bar.
Insights
- Improved switching behavior between Word Info and Word Lookup cards.
- You can now select dictionaries in the Word Info card even without an internet connection.
End of support for Android 11
- The Logos mobile apps v49 will require Android 12 or higher.
- This change affects devices that stopped receiving updates at Android 11, including popular older devices like the Google Pixel 2 / 2XL and OnePlus 6 / 6T, as well as many mid-range Samsung Galaxy A-series and Motorola Moto G devices released around 2020–2021.
- Please note that Fire OS 8 is based on Android 11. This means that if you are using a Fire 7 (12th Gen), Fire HD 8 (12th Gen), or Fire HD 10 (13th Gen), you will likely be unable to update to v49 until a newer version of Fire OS (based on Android 12 or higher) becomes available for your specific device.
